Happy New Year 2026!

As every year, I try to best respect this ritual at the beginning of the year, to present personal best wishes, even if the context can be heavy, weighty. I do it because I find this practice relevant, I find a meaning to make it. So what’s up? Which wishes for the next twelve months?

In my entourage, dear people, more or less close, have died, so come an invitation to cherish life and take care of one’s health. It is elementary but it is good to write it like a word written on a memento to remember first. The rest will follow or not but it is not very serious if this first word is already not respected. So, Happy New Year must always rhyme with “good health”, whether it is physical health and… the mental health that our societies seem to neglect. So, maybe to insist: “Happy New Year, good mental health!”. (Note: it comes from the traditional expression in French: “bonne année, bonne santé !” because the sounds of the end of the words are identical : “é”.)

To contribute to the care of mental health, it seems important to me to give time, some space to listening, empathy, benevolence. It is not enough to be non-malicious. Benevolence involves more in one’s behavior towards other people. To respect the wish, the resolution of good health, it is necessary, and it is indeed an obligation, to engage in a benevolent communication based on empathy, otherwise the mental health of everyone will be affected, even deteriorated. So, may the empathic listening!

I personally hope to continue exploring the cosmos. I am currently listening in replay to the lectures of the cycle COSMOLOGY AND PHILOSOPHY: The philosophical consequences of contemporary cosmology, animated by Eric Lowen of the association UPP ALDERAN. Similarly, I try to participate in WEB café philo of the association, an online café to discuss a theme in a friendly atmosphere.

In addition, I hope to continue to enhance this blog with other articles that I put some of which in headlines and develop my digital library of books where I share some of my readings.

Happy New Year, good commitment and engage!
